GVAPO Tripinović – Founder, Nautical Armor Anodes
We deliver Operational Certainty.
In this business, outcomes are pallets delivered on time, not calls and emails.
When I started Nautical Armor, I was obsessed with doing, being involved, supervising, and deciding everything.
If you run a distribution business, you have probably lived this.
I built the entire company from scratch. Zero outside capital. Operations becoming serious. Great clients, proven products.
Back then, as all fresh entrepreneurs, I was the delivery mechanism, sales engine, the whatever its needed.
You come first to the office, and leave the last. Day in, day out.
Then I hit the limit.
Despite my best effort, the day and the week have finite working hours.
That’s when it clicked: the same person making every decision becomes the constraint.
So we took a step back, standardized decisions into a weekly flow and fine-tune it. We still do.
Simple delegation wasn’t the win we needed.
Standardization of our processes was.
Now, from a few years distance, I can say that was the best decision I ever made.
The system runs without me watching every step.
We protect dispatch reliability by keeping decisions inside a repeatable reliable system we made after years of iterations.
My founder’s time and energy are now focused to increase the value for the other founders and procurement managers:
- Reliability and predictability
• Communication with customers and partners
• New products and quality
• Shipment checks that remove friction before the pallet leaves
That is also why many of the photos I am sharing with you come from packing days. It is where the work becomes real. Where reliability becomes visible.
We recently shipped 8 pallets for the US from our European foundry.
About 9,500 kg of anodes.
Shipments like that do not succeed because someone is “working hard” at the last minute.
They succeed because we reserve capacity before the rush.
That is why we built Nautical Armor Collaborative Forecasting.
Forecast → reserved capacity → your preferred and predictable delivery dates.
How it works:
· You send a 60-day draft order (SKU mix + quantities + target delivery week).
- We reserve capacity against that draft before the rush.
- About 20 days before shipment, you send the final order and we complete the balance from stock or additional production.
- We ship on the agreed dates.
- You get the anodes delivered exactly when you need them.
Operational terms:
• MOQ: 1 pallet, mixed SKUs (from our 1,000+ model offer)
• Cadence: agreed dispatch rhythm based on your season
• Terms: EXW, door delivery at cost
• Documents: EUR.1 + CMR
• Quality (zinc): MIL-A-18001K compliant; chemistry in line with MIL-DTL-18001L (per COA); traceability; ±3%
* Claims, if any, decision within 48h after photos; resolved within 72h after approval.
Most company leaders, owners, procurement managers don’t need more suppliers.
They need fewer surprises.
They don’t need more days in a week, more stress, and emails/calls they don’t want to take.
They need a reliable supplier who understands distributor constraints: SKU mix, quantities, quality, shelf cash, and deadlines.
They need a partner who will offer them informed advice that reduces emergency shipments and excess safety stock.
We can’t do everything. But we can do all that regarding the sacrificial anodes supply.
