We deliver Operational Certainty.
Have you ever bought a “perfect” part from a producer, sold it to your customer, and then it failed at install?
The kind of moment where you think: “What were they thinking when they made it like this?”
If you supply yards, shops, and captains, you hear that more often that you would like to.
A part can look perfect on paper and still create extra work during installation.
That gap usually hides in small details.
Hole position, radius, edge finish, clearance, and tolerances that don’t match real-life conditions.
What looks great on a screen or on a shelf doesn’t guarantee it will fit cleanly.
And when it doesn’t fit, the maintenance team pays the price in time, and the distributor gets the refund call.
Grinding. Drilling. Adapting. Losing time you did not have.
A “simple job” becomes rework inside a tight window.
At Nautical Armor we serve two worlds at the same time.
Distributors who need a stable supply, and service yards and shipyards who need parts that install cleanly.
That is the tricky part for any producer.
It’s easy to get trapped in your own details, optimizing production and forgetting the installation reality.
That’s why, as Nautical Armor grew, we built a fit-confirmation process that distributors can trust.
I had a wake-up call with one of our key clients, a large OEM producer.
They told us they were having problems with installation.
We did what most producers and suppliers do first.
We checked the technical drawings, and we fine-tuned very expensive molds made for that client.
The problem persisted.
Then the client sent us the tool they built to check correct fitting.
A large cylinder with different radiuses, so we could see the same thing they see.
That changed everything.
We could clearly see the difference between the drawings and real-life shaft sizes.
Once we saw the real-world fit problem, the corrections were made within a week and the anodes fit perfectly.
A problem that could jeopardize cooperation with a large client without understanding why was solved with proper communication and a hands-on approach, on mutual satisfaction.
That story is why I built a repeatable fit-check system – and I still audit it.
From receiving the order and the idea, through production, finished anodes, packaging, and shipment checks.
Details are where trust is won or lost.
Details mean safety, fewer returns, and fewer emergency calls.
This is also why we built a program around fit, not guesswork.

Nautical Armor Custom-made Propeller Anode Sets (Superyachts)
This program is for vessels where fit matters more than anything.
The goal is simple: anodes that install cleanly, without improvisation.
How it works (5 steps):
- You send what you have: photos + shaft diameter + one reference measurement. Everything else helps.
- We confirm fit, align the drawing, and lock the final geometry with you.
- If anything looks inconsistent, we request a sample or extra photos before production. After final approval, geometry is locked.
- We produce and ship the set so it’s ready for installation when the vessel is in dry dock.
- Lead time: 3–4 weeks from written order confirmation (EU+NO).
- 68 custom sets delivered in the last 12 months.
- In 500+ units delivered, we haven’t had a post-approval mismatch.
Operational rails (so procurement feels safe):
- Zinc sacrificial anodes
- MIL-A-18001K compliant; chemistry in line with MIL-DTL-18001L (per COA)
- ±3% weight tolerance
- EXW (door delivery at cost)
- Full export documents so customs can clear fast
If you are tired of “almost fits,” you shouldn’t have to tolerate that.
You shouldn’t have to lose time adapting a brand-new part in the first place, and with Nautical Armor Custom-made Propeller Anode Sets, you won’t.
