Precision and Purity: The Making of Nautical Armor Zinc Anodes
Zinc anodes are essential for protecting vessels from corrosion in saltwater.
At Nautical Armor, we take pride in delivering superior quality by using premium materials and adhering to the highest standards.
Exceptional Material Quality
Our zinc alloy contains at least 99.55% zinc.
To make an alloy, we use a row material purity level of 99.995%.
This ensures outstanding performance and longevity. Every anode meets the strict MIL-A-18001K standard for cathodic protection.
Advanced Tool Design
The process starts with tool design.
Our mechanical engineers use state-of-the-art software to create precision tools from durable, high-quality materials. These tools are the foundation for consistent, high-performance anodes
A Careful Casting Process
The alloy ingots are melted in specialized furnaces.
The zinc is heated to 250°C for three hours and then to 430°C for casting. We use two methods depending on production needs and the type of the anodes:
- Pressure casting ensures uniformity.
- Gravity casting allows flexibility.
For gravity casting, the molten material is poured into an open-sided tool on a digital scale. This ensures the precise weight for each anode (aberrations +/-3%).
Final Control and Assurance
We carefully inspect and, if needed, publish each anode before storing it in our warehouse or packing it directly into the boxes and sending it to our distributors.
Our rigorous quality checks ensure every product is reliable, durable, and ready to perform.
At Nautical Armor, we combine precision, expertise, and high-quality materials & tools to deliver anodes you can trust.
Let us protect your vessels with the best cathodic option – with Nautical Armor’s high-quality sacrificial anodes.
