Improperly installed anodes will either not work at all or provide subpar performance.
To illustrate, here’s how properly installed anodes should appear after 6-12 months, effectively safeguarding your boat from galvanic corrosion.
If it looks like a new one, it was a poor quality or improperly installed anode. In either case, it will not protect your vessel.
